Several NCSP articles need amendments – al-Iraqiya

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Official Spokeswoman of al-Iraqiya Bloc, Maysoun Damaloujy, has said on Sunday that there were several articles of the draft-law for the National Council for Strategic Policies (NCSP) that don’t cope with the Constitution and must be adjusted, pointing out that her Bloc had no problem in this respect.   “There are many things in the NCSP’s draft-law that must cope with the Constitution, including several items that need adjustment, in order to cope with the Constitution, and there is no problem if they were adjusted, as we have no problem in this respect,” Damaloujy told IraqiNews.com news agency.   She said that “the draft-law is with the Parliament’s Legislative Committee, that would receive all the notes from the Parliament members on the draft-law, to be studied and presented in the Parliament’s second reading, which had not been scheduled yet.”   The Parliament’s session last Thursday had listened to the 1st reading of the NCSP’s draft-law, amid comments by several political blocs that a number of its articles stood counter to the articles of the Constitution and needed to be adjusted before its approval by the Parliament.
