Baghdad Mayoralty,others, most corrupt – Integrity Commission member

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Member of Iraqi Parliament’s Integrity Commission for al-Ahrar (Liberals) Bloc, Jawad al-Shuheily, has said on Monday that Baghdad Mayoralty, Trade and Health Ministries, and the Council of Ministers “are the most corrupt among other Iraqi authorities.”   “The Baghdad Mayoralty had led the list of the State’s most corrupt departments, as the averages of corruption inside it had registered high percentages,” the Sadrist Trend’s electronic position quoted Shuheily as saying.   “The Baghdad Mayoralty, the Ministries of Trade and Health and the Council of Ministers are the most corrupt, according to the series of corrupt State departments, according to the Integrity Commission’s report,” he added.   He pointed out that “the percentage of corruption in Baghdad Mayoralty had reached more than 65%,” adding that Baghdad’s Lord-Mayor, Saber al-Issawi and about 12 of his Mayoralty’s director-generals would be questioned (by the Parliament’s Integrity Commission) after the Muslim’s Eid al-Fitr Holidays, scheduled to take place in 2 weeks time.”   SKH (TI)/Sr 468
