Six civilians injured by blast in Balad, Salahal-Din

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Six Iraqi civilians have been injured in an explosive charge blast, close to the Municipal Council of Balad township, south of Salahal-Din Province on Monday, according to a security source.   “An explosive charge blew up close to the building of the Municipal Council of Balad township in Salahal-Din Province on Monday morning, wounding 6 civilians,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency, giving no further details.   A number of Iraqi provinces have witnessed a series of explosions on Monday, unprecedented over the past 2 months, killing and wounding dozens of people.   Balad, 90 km to the south of Tikrit, the center of Salahal-Din Province, 175 km to the north of Baghdad.   SKH (ST)     474
