CBI presents its Sunday sales report with 156 million dollars

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) has presented its dollars sales report on its Sunday auction, which exceeded 156 million US dollars, at a rate of 1,170 dinars per dollar, down from its Saturday sales of 188 million dollars, according to its daily bulletin.   “The total size of CBI’s Sunday demand on US dollars had reached 156, 402,000 dollars, covered by the Bank at an average rate of 1,170 dinars per dollar,” the bulletin reported.   The CBI’s Saturday sales had reached 188, 140,000 US dollars, according to the bulletin.   “The Bank’s Sunday cash sales had reached 6,660,000 US dollars, at an average rate of 1,183 dinars per dollar,” it reported, adding that the CBI’s foreign transfers had reached 149, 742,000 US dollars, at an average rate of 1,183 dinars per dollar, including the Bank’s interest of 13 dinars per dollar.   The bulletin repeated its daily comment that none of the banks that attended the CBI’s Sunday session, including the 25 banks that shared on the session, had offered any dollar for sale in the auction today.   The CBI holds 5 weekly sessions for selling and buying foreign currencies, starting on Sunday and ending on Thursday, charging 13 dinars per dollar, along with another 13 dinars per dollar, charged on its transfers abroad.   SKH (TI)/SR   370
