Iranian soldiers kill Kurdish shepherd in Iraq’s Kurdistan borders

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: A Kurdish shepherd has been killed by Iranian soldiers in northern Iraq’s Kurdistan border area of Haj-Omran town on Saturday, the town’s Mayor reported.   “A group of Iranian soliders have opened fire on Saturday against an Iraqi shepherd, called Farman Hassan in Mowtan village of Haj-Omran town, seriously injuring him, but he died while driven to a hospital in Choman town, 150 km to the northeast of Arbil,” Mayor Maghdid Arif Ahmed told IraqiNews.com news agency.   Noteworthy is that the Iranian Army had resumed shelling Iraqi Kurdistan’s border villages since mid July, under justification of targeting positions of the anti-Tehran PJAK forces, taking refuge in the Iraqi border areas, killing and wounding several villagers and forcing dozens of families to desert their home villages, along with setting broad farms on fire.   SKH (ST) 298
