Corruption: main reason for prisoners’ escape

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The spokesman of the Higher Judicial Council stated today that the main reasons for prisoners’ escape differ from one prison to another, but corruption is the vital one.   Abdul Sattar Bairaqdar told IraqiNews.com that the prisons are administered by the ministry of justice, thus it will be responsible for such acts of escape.   “The main reasons of escape are the corruption and lack of experience in prison administration”, he added.   Iraqi prisons witnessed cases of escape in Basra, Baghdad, Hilla, and Mosul.
