Kuwaiti premier regrets fishermen incident – statement
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Kuwaiti Premier Nasir al-Mohammed al-Ahmad al-Sabah expressed his regret for what happened to a number of Iraqi fishermen, who were detained in Kuwait. Premier Nouri al-Maliki’s office released a statement, which was received by IraqiNews.com, noting that in a telephone call, the Kuwaiti premier expressed his government’s desire to further cooperation and coordination between the two sides on the maritime levels in order to prevent such accidents. Al-Ahmed also expressed the desire to solve all pending questions between the two countries. The statement added that both sides stressed the importance of continued dialogue to preserve the positive climates between them. RM (TS)/SR 407
