Crime drops 60% in Najaf

NAJAF / IraqiNews.com: Eight thousand criminal cases and one terrorist case were solved this year, Najaf Appeal Court sources said today.   Judge Hassan al-Hadrawi told IraqiNews.com that the percentage of crime decreased by 60 percent in comparison with last year.   99 percent of the crimes solved were by investigation units, he added.   “Security stability, the cooperation between the judges and police forces and the new techniques were the main factors for reducing the crime in the province,” he concluded.   Najaf lies 160 km south of the capital, Baghdad.
