Basra tribe give Baghdad one month for strict action against Kuwait

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: MP Odai Awad (Basra) stated today that a number of Basra tribes gave a time limit for one month to the central government to have a strict action against Kuwaiti Mobarak terminal.   Awad told IraqiNews.com that these tribes are waiting the governmental stand , otherwise “they will take the necessary action”.   MP Awad of Ahrar bloc, affiliated to the Sadrist Trend, added that Basra citizens are mostly affected by Kuwaiti practices, particularly the fishermen cases.   “Any wrong Kuwaiti action will not end in apology, but international law and accords shall be applicable”, he added.   Kuwait announced last April the establishment of Mobarak terminal, which came after one year of Iraqi announcement that it will build Greater Fao Port.   Iraqi politicians believed that the terminal will strangle Iraqi economy and naval routes, but the Kuwaitis rejected these speculations.
