Iraqi soldier, woman, killed in 2 Mosul blasts

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi soldier and a women have been killed in 2 attacks in northern Iraq ’s city of Mosul on Friday, a security source reported.   “A group of unknown gunmen have opened fire against an Iraqi Army checkpoint in northern Mosul ’s Cahira ( Cairo ) district on Firday, killing a soldier and fleeing to an unknown destination,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   In another incident, a woman was killed by sporadic shooting in southern Mosul ’s al-Maamoun disrtrict, the security source added, giving no further details.   Mosul , the center of Ninewa Province , is 405 km to the north of Baghdad .   SKH (PT)   290
