Call to expand relations with Italy – Talabani

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani today expressed the Iraqi desire to expand the work of the Italian companies in the reconstruction process taking place in Iraq, as well as the investment spheres, a presidential statement said here. The president met visiting Italian Economic Development minister Paolo Romani, Italian ambassador to Baghdad Gerardo Carante and a number of Italian businessmen and investors. Talabani added that “Iraq desires for further cooperation with the Italian government and companies”. On the other hand, Minister Romani pointed out the Italian concern in the developments taking place in Iraq and in enhancing bilateral relations on all levels.
