Kurdistan Workers Party admits 5 members killed by Turkish Army

sulaimaniya / IraqiNews.com: The Anti-ankara Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) has admitted on Thursday that 5 of its members have been killed in clashes with the Turkish Army in southern Turkey‘s Hakary area, close to Iraqi Kurdistan borders with Turkey. “The Media Center for the Defense of Kurdistan, belonging to the PKK announces that 5 of its members have been killed on clashes with the Turkish Army on Wednesday night,” a PKK statement reported on Thursday. The PKK also claimed that 100 Turkish soldiers have been killed in clashes with the Turkish Army in Blijany area of Hakary area, during which large quantities of arms ammunition were confiscated. It said that clashes still continued till Thursday morning between PKK and Turkish Army forces close to the borders of Iraqi Kurdistan with Turkey, whilst Turkish warplanes and helicopters were shelling the Kurdistan border areas.
