UN will have greater challenges after US withdrawal – MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com:  Parliamentary Human Rights Commission MP said today that the role of the United Nations in Iraq will face new challenges of sectarianism and imposing force in the political arena, pointing out that there are foreign plans to for regression. Kurdish bloc MP Ashwaq al-Jaff told IraqiNews.com that “the UN role shall be important, particularly to that connected to human rights and the formation of the Higher Commission of Human Rights”. She pointed out the role of the UN in disseminating the culture of reconciliation and social justice and demanded a bigger role for the organization in Iraq.
