Iraq will be prepared to host Gulf Championship in 2015

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Chairman of Kuwait’s Soccer Union, Sheikh Talal al-Fahad, has said on Tuesday that Iraq would be 100 percent ready to host the Gulf Championship in 2015. “The decision has been made to grant Iraq the opportunity to host the Gulf Soccer Championship, along with Yemen.The Iraqi Federation will be 90 percent be ready to host the Championship in 2013, but by the year 2015 would be 100 percent prepared,” Sheikh Talal told IraqiNews.com news agency in a meeting of the Gulf Federations that took place in Kuwait. “Moving the championship from Iraq to Bahrain would not be an appropriate decision, especially after the develpments that recently took place in Bahrain,” he said.
