BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The governor of Anbar province escaped death in an assassination attempt with a bomb blast west of the capital, Baghdad, while three of his bodyguards were wounded, according to media spokesman of the province. Mohammed Fathi told IraqiNews.com that governor Qasim Abid Muhammad Hammadi al-Fahadawi escaped the assassination attempt by the bomb blast in Abu Ghraib area, west Baghdad. The governor was not hurt. No further information was disclosed.
