 CBI sells 139 million dollars in its Sunday sales

Man inspects 25,000 Iraqi dinars

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) has sold in its Sunday session to sell and buy foreign currencies, 139 million US dollars, on basis of 1,170Iraqi dinars per dollar, its daily bulletin reported, adding that its previous session had witnessed the selling of 221 million dollars. “The total size of the CBI‘s sales on Sunday have reached 139 millions and 20,000 US dollars, covered by the Bank on bais of 1,170 dinars per dollar,” the bulletin said. The CBI‘s sales in its previous session had reached 221 millions and 750,000 dollars, sold on basis of 1,183 dinars per dollar for its cash sales that reached 12 millions and 320,000 dollars, including the Bank’s 13 dinar interest per dollar. The bulletin repeated its daily comment that none of the banks, including the 17 banks that attended today’s session, had offered a single dollar for sale. The CBI holds 5 sessions weekly to sell and buy its foreign currencies, charging 13 dinars per dollar for both its internal and external sales.
