BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki called for further investment, trade and economic cooperation between Iraq and Austria. In a statement issued by his office, Maliki received Austrian foreign minister Michael Spindelegger, during which both sides discussed bilateral relations. The situation in the Arab area was also discussed, where Premier Maliki stressed that Iraqi policy depends on not interfering in others’ affairs. He called that all transformations should be made peacefully. On the other side, Minister Spindelegger talked on behalf of the European Union, stressing the desire that Iraq will be the center of trade in the Middle East.
