US Echo base handed over to Iraqis

DIWANIYA / IraqiNews.com: US forces handed over today Echo military base in Diwaniya to the Iraqi military  8th.Division through a special ceremony attended by Iraqi and American military and political personalities. The ceremony was attended by IraqiNews.com, where a protocol was signed to hand over the base, 3 km west of Diwaniya, . It was also attended by Premier’s advisor Hussein al-Asadi and commander of mid Euphrates Staff General Othman al-Ghanimi and commander of the 8th.Division Qais al-Muhammadawi, as well as a number of American military commanders.
