Iraq’s Prime Minister calls on security bodies to boost measures after explosions that killed, injured dozens of Baghdad people

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, has stated on Thursday that the explosions that took place in different parts of Baghdad early in the day and their targets have reflected the political nature those attackers have targeted, calling on the security forces and the Army to carry out their duties with utmost degrees of attention to protect citizens, as well as calling on the religious clerics, politicians and tribal chieftains, to bear their responsibilities to support the security forces.”The series of criminal explosions against innocent people in schools markets and public places, have uncovered once again, the nature of the enemy, the Iraqis are facing and its criminal nature, that follows any track to achieve their goals,” Maliki said in a statement, copy of which was received by IraqiNews.com news agency.”The timing of these crimes and the selection of their sites confirm once again for all suspicious elements, the political nature of the goals those elements want to achieve, through crime and killing innocent people, as part of their attempts to mix up papers in order to achieve their goals,”Malliki said. Maliki also expressed confidence that “the criminals and those standing behind them won’t be able to transform the course of events and the political process, or flee from punishment that they shall face sooner or later.”Noteworthy is that dozens of civilians have been killed or injured in a series of explosions that took place on Thursday, after the political crisis that took place in the country in the background of the charges directed against Iraq’s Vice-President and Leader of al-Iraqiya Coalition, with having been behind terrorist acts, along with a decision by Prime Minister Maliki to withdraw trust from his Deputy Prime Minister, Saleh al-Mutlaq, also one of the leaders of al-Iraqiya Coalition.SKH (PT)645
