2 civilians killed, another injured in Kirkuk blast

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Two Iraqi civilians have been killed and another injured in a booby-trapped car explosion close to the Technical Institute of northern Iraq‘s oil-rich city of Kirkuk on Tuesday, the city’s Police Director reported. “A booby-trapped car, parked on the roadside has blown off early today (Tuesday), close to the Technical Institute in southwest Kirkuk, killing 2 civilians and injuring another, who was driven to a nearby hospital for treatment,” Lt-Brigadier Sarhad Qader told IraqiNews.com news agency. Qader said that the security forces have cordoned off the venue of the incident and launched an investigation to uncover the reason for the existence of the booby-trapped car. SKH (TP)/SR 529
