5 arrested in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: A security force arrested five wanted persons, planning to attack visitors to the holy shrines, security sources said today. The source told IraqiNews.com that the Interior Ministry force arrested the five persons in Suwaira area, 135 km north of Kut city. The operation was based on intelligence sources with the approval of the judicial system. The arrested persons confessed their plans to attack the visitors. Wassit Operations Security Room made an integrated plan to protect the visitors parades, which it is expected will be done with the participation of millions of people heading for Kerbela and Najaf holy cities to be expected by mid of the coming month. The security plan comprises of 22,000 security members in Wassit, 35,000 members in Kerbela and 30,000 members in Najaf. 873
