Officer in Iraqi Kurdistan’s Pesh-Merga forces injured in southern KIrkuk blast

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: An officer of northern Iraq’s Kurdistan Region’s Pesh-Merga (Kurdish armed forces) has been injured in an explosive charge blast in the oil-rich city of Kirkuk on Tuesday, the city’s Police Director reported. “Colonel Adnan Mohammed of Kurdistan Region’s Pesh-Merga Forces, has been injured in an explosive charge blast south of Kirkuk on Tuesday,” Lt-Brigadier, Sarhad Qader told IraqiNews.com news agency.Qader said the Security forces began investigations about the incident, whilst the injured officer was driven to a nearby hospital for treatment.Kirkuk is 280 km to the north of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad.582
