Arrest warrant against Hashimi reached Arbil, Kurdish spokesman

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com:  The Higher Judicial Council in Kurdistan announced today the arrival of the arrest warrant against vice-president Tariq al-Hashimi with a decision to prevent him from traveling abroad. Spokesman Hameed Salman said, in a press conference attended by IraqiNews.com, that the arrest warrant was received by the joint legal committee between Baghdad and Arbil. He rejected disclosing any information about the case , as well not replying the press questions, but pointing out that “the results will be soon announced for the secrecy of the investigations”. Kurdish Interior Ministry rejected handing over Hashimi and his companions, according to the arrest warrant. Iraq is facing a cute political crisis along the accusations uttered against Hashimi for “terrorism”, at a time Baghdad witnessed during the last two weeks a number of  massive explosions that led to tens of casualties, mostly civilians. Added to all this, previous complicated issues on the security ministerial posts, that were delayed for the last year since the formation of the government, and non-implementation of Arbil agreements. 977
