NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A group of unknown gunmen, wearing military uniform have blown up excavation machinery, belonging to an Angolan Company working in southern Mosul’s Najma and Gayara oil fields, a Ninewa security source reported on Thursday. “A group of armed men have blown up on Thursday 9 machines, used in excavation for oil, belonging to an Angolan Company, working in Najma and Gayara Oil Fields, 60 km to the south of Mosul,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said the attack did not cause any casualties, because none of the Angolan company staff were present at the site of the work when the incident took place, but some guards of the area of the incident, who were not hurt also. The Angolan Company, Sonangol works in investigation in Najma and Gayara Oil Fields, south of Mosul, within contracts and licenses signed with the Iraqi Oil Ministry in 2010. Mosul, the center of Ninewa Province, is 405 km to the north of Baghdad.
