Parliamentary sessions’ postponement criticized – MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A Fadhila Bloc MP criticized the parliament for continued postponement of its sessions during every political crisis. MP Suzan al-Saad stated today that “this situation is disappointing to the Iraqi citizen”. In a statement by the bloc, received by IraqiNews.com, she called on the parliament “to implement its real role in supervision and follow-up, particularly in this deteriorating security situation”. “The delay in endorsing Iraqi laws will affect Iraqi interests and will make the ordinary citizen feel disappointed for electing such members,” she added. The Iraqi Parliament has repeated postponed its session due to the many members who are absent, due, in part, to certain bloc’s boycott of these sessions.
