No cut-off in Iraqi-Turkish relations expected – MP 1/20/2012 3:35 PM BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A leading member in the State of Law excluded that the recent crisis between Iraq and Turkey will lead to a termination in bilateral relations. Yassin Majeed told IraqiNews.com that the Iraqi-Turkish relations are good as far as economic and trade levels are concerned, where trade exchange reaches 13 billion dollars annually. He excluded any severing of relations between the two sides, because there is keenness to solve all problems cordially. Turkish Premier Recep Tayyib Erdogan criticized the Iraqi political situation, warning of “internal strife” that may happen in the future. These statements and others stirred internal rejection to Turkey‘s statements, where both sides called on their respective ambassadors to report their indignations of the statements and provide a counter statement.
