First oil floating terminal postponed – spokesman

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com:  The opening ceremony of the first floating oil terminal was postponed until further notice for technical reasons, an Oil Ministry spokesman announced today. Spokesman Asim Jihad added to IraqiNews.com  that operational problems arose. The terminal was supposed to be inaugurated today to pump oil to the first oil tanker to be loaded there. He added that the terminal has an export capacity of 900,000 b/d, implemented by the ministry in cooperation with an international company, and is one of four floating terminals to be completed in the coming years. Earlier today it was noted that the floating terminal was expected to be open by Friday.
