BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI) Ammar al-Hakeem agreed during his visit to Turkey to pacify the relations and not increasing media tension between the two sides, ISCIspokesman said here today. Hameed Mu‘ala told IraqiNews.com that Hakeem will notify the Iraqi government of the results of his visit to Turkey. He described the visit as “positive”. Mu’ala pointed out that Hakeem renewed his call to the al-Iraqiya Bloc to return to the parliament and cabinet session. Hakeem visited Turkey last Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region, at a time tension is growing between the two sides. Earlier, Turkish Premier Recceb Tayyib Erdogan stated that “Turkey will not be silent if Baghdad encouraged sectarian conflict in Iraq”.
