Sahwa commander’s wife, daughter killed in Falluja

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: The wife of a commander of Iraq’s pro-government’s al-Sahwa (Awakening) Organization, has been killed together with his daughter in armed attack on their house in al-Garma trownship, east of west Iraq’s Anbar city of Falluja on Saturday, an Anbar police source reported. “A group of an unknown gunmen have stormed the house of al-Sahwa (Awakening) Force in al-Garma township, Sheikh Diab Mahmoud east of Falluja city,” the police source told IraqiNews.com news agency, killing his wife and daughter were in the house, whilst Mahmoud was out of the house”. He said that the security forces had launched an inspection campaign searching for the armed men, who escaped to an unknown destination. Anbar Province had witnessed attacks against two al-Sahwa commander over the past few days, and there are fears that other attacks might take place, causing further deterioration to the Province.
