SECURITY: Iraqi soldier killed, 2 cops injured in 2 security incidents in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi soldier has been killed and 2 policemen were injured in 2 security incidents in northern Iraq’s city of Mosul, the center of Ninewa Province, a Ninewa security source reported on Saturday. “An Iraqi soldier has been killed today (Saturday) in an armed attack by a group of unknown gunmen in west Mosul‘s Rifa’e district, while on leave,” the security source reported. In another incident, 2 policemen have been injured in an explosive charge blast against a Federal Police patrol in al-|Tanak district, west of Mosul,” the security source told Iraqi News agency, adding that the police had imposed a cordon around the venue of the attack. Mosul, the center of north Iraq’s Ninewa Province, is 405 km to the north of Baghdad.
