Iraqi civilian killed, another injured in Salah al-Din

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: An official of the Iraqi Reconciliation Institution has been seriously injured and a civilian has been killed in an armed attack south of Salah al-Din Province on Saturday, a security source reported. “A group of unknown armed men have attacked the house of an official of the Iraqi Reconciliation Institution on Samarra city of Salah al-Din Province, seriously injuring him and killing one of his guests,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said the attackers have fled to an unknown destination, whilst the security forces launched an investigation into the incident. Samarra city is 40 km to the south of Tikrit, the center of Salah al-Din Provnce, 175 km to the north of Baghdad. SKH (TP)/SR477
