BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq‘s Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, has described his recent visit for Japan as having been “one of the most successful visit he had achieved,” calling on the Japanese Ambassador to Baghdad to accelerate the entrance of the Japanese companies into Iraq and to activate the conclusion of of agreements between both countries. “Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, has received at his office on Thursday the Japanese Ambassador to Baghdad, Susosmo Hassigawa, and had highly assessed during the reception Japan‘s attitudes in support of Iraq, pointing out that his recent visit for Japan had been one of the most successful visit he had achieved, due to the agreements that had been reached during the visit that serve the interest of both countries and help to develop their bilateral relations,” a Prime Minister‘s office statement reported on Thursday. Prime Minister Maliki, the statement stressed,had called on the Japanese Ambassador to “accelerate the entrance of the Japanese companies in Iraq and to continue efforts to activate the agreements concluded by both countries. The statement pointed out that the Iraqi Prime Minister had received during the reception “a letter by Japanese Prime Minister, Yushohiko Noda, reaffirming necessity to develop the bilateral relations between both countries. The Japanese Ambassador, on his part, had confirmed that he is “seriously concerned to follow up the implementation of the agreement concluded between Iraq and Japan,” pointing out that he would begin consultation with the Japanese Finance Ministry on the building of new projects in Iraq, depending on the Japanese credit.
