Sadrist call for dialogue with Turkey initiation of problem resolution – MP

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: An Al-Muwatin Bloc MP described a Sadrist Trend leader’s call to solve Iraqi-Turkish problems by peaceful means as the “initiation of dialogue between the two countries”. MP Habeeb al-Tarfi told IraqiNews.com said that the Sadrist call is an expression that “Iraq does not want to interfere in others’ internal affairs”. In response to a question submitted by one of his followers on Iraqi-Turkish relations, the Sadrist Leader called upon Turkey to solve pending questions through “dialogue and understanding”. MP Tarfi added that Turkey should listen to all parties in order “not to be bias to any one”. Turkish Premier Recep Tayyib Erdogan last month warned the Iraqi government that “Ankara will not be silent if the Iraqi government encouraged sectarian conflict, because Turkey will not remain silent”.
