KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: The first Kirkuk International Expo, organized by Kirkuk’s Investment Commission and al-Diyar Company, wrapped up on Friday. “The Three-day fair, which witnessed the participation of local and international companies, aimed at attracting investments to the province and updating residents and traders on the modern technologies in different sectors,” Falah Abdulrahman al-Bazaz, chairman of the Kirkuk Investment Commission, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The event is the first of its kind in the province, where German, Italian, Malaysian, Chinese, Syrian and Iranian companies took part,” he added. He underlined the importance of holding fairs to activate the economic and agricultural conditions. The trade fair that was opened by Kirkuk governor Najmaddin Karim on Tuesday (Feb.21) brought together about 100 foreign and local companies. Kirkuk lies 280 km northeast of Baghdad.
