Two MPs criticize allocating armed vehicles to parliament members

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com : Security and Defence member Ammar Tuma‘ regarded the allocation of armed vehicles to parliament members “a great mistake”, pointing that “should be allocated to support the intelligence service”, while MP Suzan al-Saad called for allocating these funds to compensate the families of the dead people of the recent explosions.   Both MPs belong to Fadhila bloc.   Iraqi parliament allocated 60 billion Iraqi dinars to buy armed vehicles, “which is a big mistake that will incite the feelings of the Iraqi people”, as he said.   On the other side, MP al-Saad expressed “dissatisfaction these amounts to be given to MPs instead of the people”, criticizing “the voting for such privileges, particularly some blocs where all their members voted with acceptance.   She added that “these amounts should be distributed to orphans, widows and cancer patients who live difficult economic situations”.   Iraqi parliament voted last Thursday to buy 350 armed vehicles with the amount of 600 million dollars for its members.
