Culture minister conveys Talabani’s message to Saudi Arabia

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Culture Minister Saadoun al-Dulaimi conveyed a message from Iraqi President Jalal Talabani to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia during a meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal on Sunday, according to the Saudi Press Agency.Dulaimi’s meeting with the Saudi foreign minister tackled issues of mutual interest to both countries, said the SPA.The Iraqi government said it would send five ministers to extend official invitations for Arab leaders to attend the Arab Summit, scheduled to be held in March in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.An Arab League delegation led by Ambassador Sameer Sayf al-Yazal, Assistant Secretary General of the pan-Arab organization, had returned Thursday to Cairo after checking Iraqi preparations to host the summit.AmR (PT)2476
