Nujaifi receives Iranian support for tripartite initiative in Baghdad

BAGHDAD/ IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Parliament Speaker Usama Nujaifi received a verbal letter from Iranian Shura Council leader Ali Larijani, in which he expressed his full support for convening the tripartite initiative in Baghdad, according to a Parliamentary statement. Nujaifi received Iranian Ambassador Hassan Dana’I Fer during which he delivered the verbal message. The statement added that Nujaifi welcomed this message, stressing “necessity to convene in Baghdad in particular, despite Saudi Arabia reservations on its venue. It added that both sides discussed the latest developments in the political scene and horizons of developing bilateral relations. Earlier, Nujaifi propose a tripartite dialogue among Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Turkey to discuss and find remedies to pending questions. RM (TS)/SR 972
