Abbawi, Syrian Ambassador discuss developments in Syria

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Policy Planning, Labeed Abbawi, met the Syrian Ambassador in Baghdad, Nawaf al-Faris, on Wednesday.

 A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “During the meeting, they reviewed the situation developments in Syria and the ongoing preparations to hold the Arab Summit in Baghdad.

“The Syrian Ambassador expressed Syrian government’s wishes for the success of the Arab Summit, expressing his confidence over leading this Summit by Iraq and the activities of the Arab League for the next year,” the statement concluded.

The Arab Summit will be held in Baghdad at the end of March after completing all the preparations for hosting it.
