Wardi calls Maliki to reveal deals with Kuwaiti side to parliament

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Liqaa Wardi, of the Iraqiya Slate requested the PM, Nouri al-Maliki, to reveal the deals that were conducted with the Kuwaiti side in his last visit to Kuwait in order to know what is being discussed in the

Iraqi-Kuwaiti meetings.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Friday, she stated “We have concerns over the concessions that were introduced to the Kuwaiti side especially about re-considering the land and sea borders between the two countries,” assuring that “The compensation over the case of the Iraqi Airways, which is 300 Million USD, is a great lose where it is not a little sum of money.”

“We wished to see more cooperation by the Kuwaiti side to settle the pending issues,” she added, pointing out “For being a neighboring country, Kuwait had to be a supporter to Iraq in this time and not to exploit it under the Seventh Chapter of UN’s Charter to be the biggest beneficiary from this situation,” she added.

Maliki and the accompanied delegation have visited Kuwait last Wednesday according to an invitation from his Kuwaiti counterpart where he met the Emir of Kuwait and some high officials.
