Maliki calls security leaders to exert efforts to secure Baghdad Arab Summit
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The premier, Nouri al-Maliki, called “The senior security and military leaders to exert more efforts to prepare the atmosphere for achieving success of Baghdad Arab Summit.”
A statement by Maliki’s office received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “While meeting the senior military and security leaders, with the presence of the Acting Defense Minister, Sadoun al-Dulaimi, Maliki stressed the necessity ordering the security forces to adhere to the decisions of the military and security Commands especially the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defense.”
“We are working to establish a prosperous state so all sides should participate in overcoming the challenges that we face,” the statement added.
“The security and stability is everyone’s responsibility and all sides should support the security forces,” he assured.
“Maliki urged the politicians not to interfere in the performance of the security forces,” the statement concluded.
