SLC MP: Unifying political dialogue necessary for Summit success

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Adela Hamoud, of the State of Law Coalition stressed the necessity of unifying the political dialogue among the political blocs in order to bring success to the upcoming Baghdad Summit.

She stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Monday “The success of the Summit represents the success of Iraq in returning to its leading position in the Arab region and the Arab League,” assuring that “All the blocs agree to bring success to the Summit because it is the success for all the participants in the government.”

“The representation of the Arab countries in the Summit will be of a high level especially after the announcement of seven of the Arab Presidents to attend it,” she added, noting that “This is a positive indicator on the return of Iraq to its natural position among the Arab countries.”

The Arab Summit will be held in Baghdad on Thursday to be preceded by a preparatory meeting for the Arab Foreign Ministers.

Iraq has received, on last Thursday, the letter of the Arab League Council which stated that Iraq is the president of the 23th Arab Summit.

The member of the Parliamentary Foreign Committee, Emad Youhanna, announced “140 Iraqi and international figures will be invited to attend the Summit.”
