Mutleg, US Ambassador discuss political updates
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, and the US Ambassador in Iraq, James Jeffrey, discussed the political updates and the ongoing disputes among the blocs as well as their consequences on the general situation.
A statement by Mutleg’s office received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “Mutleg met Jeffrey at his office with the presence of officials from the US Embassy,” noting that “Mutleg stressed that necessity of reaching a settlement for all the pending issues among the blocs.”
“Both sides discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States of America,” the statement added.
“Both sides focused on discussing the issues related to the investment and the endorsement of Gas and Oil Law draft,” the statement mentioned.
“For his part, Jeffrey expressed the US adherence to sustaining the stability in Iraq,” the statement concluded.
