Maysan (IraqiNews.com) Maysan Civil Defense Directorate declared that it will operate sirens experimentally on next Friday in anticipation of any possible future earthquakes in the province.
A statement received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), mentioned “The Directorate will launch sirens at 10:00 am on next Friday all over the province’s areas, within the preparations adopted by the mutual crisis cell between the Governorate and the Provincial Council which is formed after increasing the earthquakes in the province in case of any emergency.”
The statement added “We appeal the media outlets to broadcast this information to avoid panic and fear among citizens.”
Maysan had formed in 24 last March; crisis cell to avoid any material damages or loss of life which may result from the earthquakes that affect the province from time to time.
