Hakim urges NCMC to adhere to professionalism, independence

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, emphasized “The importance of adhering to the professionalism and independence by the National Communications and Media Commission which is tasked with organizing and developing the media performance in Iraq.”

A statement by Hakim’s office received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “Hakim received the head of the NCMC, Safa al-Din Rabi, at his office in Baghdad on Monday,” noting that “Hakim indicated the progress achieved by the Iraqi media in the light of the democracy and freedom witnessed in the new Iraq.”

“Hakim stressed adopting the norms of the professionalism and independence by the NCMC,” the statement added.

“Rabi presented a detailed explanation over the performance of the commission and its future plans,” the statement concluded.
