QFA allows Iraqi professionals to join Iraqi National Team

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Qatari Football Association allowed the Iraqi professional players who play in the Qatari professionals’ league to join the training camp of the Iraqi National Team, which will begin in the Turkish city of Antalya on next Wednesday.

Najih Hammoud, the president of the Iraqi Football Association, told Iraqi News that “QFA allowed the Iraqi professional players in the Qatari league to join the camp of the national team which will be held in preparation for the crucial qualifiers that will begin on the third of next June.”

He pointed out that “Five players, who are Younis Mahmoud, Nashat Akram, Ali Hussein Rahaima, Alaa Abdul-Zahra and Salam Shakir have left the Qatari capital Tuesday morning to join the camp.”
