White bloc calls SLC, KA to avoid exchanging tense media statements

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White bloc called “The State of Law Coalition and the Kurdistani Alliance to avoid exchanging the tense media statements

The Secretary General of the White bloc, Jamal al-Batiekh, stated to IraqiNews.com “The media statements between the SLC the KA will not settle the disputes rather they will complicate it,” noting that “We seek settling that crisis and not to complicate it.”

“These statements will negatively affect the current initiatives for settling the crisis,” he added, stressing that “Adopting the dialogue is the best way to solve the political problems.”

The political scene witnesses increased tensions between the Iraqiya Slate and the Kurdistani alliance where they exchanged the charges, accusing both the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, to be Dictators.

Earlier, MP Yasin Majid of the SLC said on last Monday at a press conference held in Baghdad that “Masoud Barzani ruled Kurdistan Region for 20 years in addition to being the head of the ruling party and the commander general of the Pishmirga and his son served as chief of intelligence services in the Region, while his nephew is the prime minister of the Kurdish Government and five members of his family are members of the political bureau of the Democratic Party,” noting that “People know who is the dictator who has cooperated clearly with the dictator in Baghdad (in reference to Masoud Barzani’s asking from Saddam Hussein in 1996 to use Iraqi Republican Guards’ troops to expel the forces of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan PUK from Erbil.)

Responding to this statement, MP, Firhad al-Atroushi, of the Kurdistani Alliance assured “Describing the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, as dictator by the Member of the State of Law Coalition, Yasin Majeed, is unfair charges.”
