MoC honors number of Iraqi female artists

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Acting Minster of Culture and the supervisor of the Woman Committee Fawzi al-Atrushi honored a number of female artists, who participated in the festival of the Iraqi Woman Day of last March. A statement by the ministry cited “The Acting Minister of Culture honored a number of Iraqi female artists.” The statement added “Two poetess, Einas al-Badran, and, Hanadi al-Maliki, were honored also,” noting that “During the meeting, Atrushi stressed the necessity of providing ongoing support by the cultural institutions to the women in order to present a refined art that highlights the Iraqi artistic, cultural heritage and civilization.”
