Official injured in southern Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Shura District Local Council, Khalaf Hameed, was injured in southern Mosul on Wednesday.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “Unidentified gunmen shot Hameed while he was driving his vehicle heading to his work, injuring him.”

“A police force chased the gunmen, killing one of them and seized his vehicle and rifle,” the source added, assuring that “The search is going on to capture the other gunmen.”

“A security force transferred Hameed to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
