Mayahi calls Foreign Ministry to summon Turkish Ambassador

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aziz Sharif al-Mayahi, of the White bloc called “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs to summon the Turkish Ambassador to question him over the recent Turkish escalation towards Iraq.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The Turkish Government and Premier, Recep Tayib Erdogan, started to underestimate the Iraqi blood and violate bilateral relations,” noting that “Each day we hear negative statements from Erdogan against the Iraqi Government as if it became under his custody.”

“The Turkish rejection for the INTERPOL red notice against the Vice-President, Tariq al-Hashimi, is against the international law,” he added.

He called the FM to “summon the Turkish Ambassador to explain the Turkish stance towards the arrest warrant against Hashimi and the reasons behind the recent escalation towards the Iraq Government.”
