Iraq aims to form Arab Human Rights Council

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Human Rights Ministry, Mohammed Shiaa al-Sudani, assured that Iraq, during the next few days, will submit a request to the Arab League to form an Arab Council for the Human Rights.

A statement by the Ministry, received by IraqiNews.com on Tuesday, cited “Shiaa received the head of the Egyptian Secretaries Center judge, Khalid Mohammed, and the accompanied delegation where the Egyptian delegation reviewed details over the mutual cooperation protocol which by signed by the Egyptian Center with the Iraqi government.”

According to the statement Shiaa assured “The Iraqi transition experiment was successful and many Arab countries was acquainted with this experiment,” noting that “Any country moves from the dictatorship to the democratic system needs the constituents of the transition justice to support the government and the people where forming the Ministry of the Human Rights is one of these constituent.”

“At the end of the meeting, the Egyptian delegation appreciated Shiaa good hospitality and presented a gift that resembles the great Pharaoh civilization to Shiaa.” The statement concluded.
